Here are more plots of patterned adhesion that were performed with a Nylon backing and F-15 polyurethane. F-15 is a very nice polyurethane for replicating features. Once again, the parallel orientation of the features produces the highest improvement on the adhesion, regardless of the pitch size. In order to eliminate variables, the samples produced were ~ 4 cm^2 in the patterned region (ca. 2 x 2 cm), with the exception of the orthogonal CD pattern, which was smaller in the width, due to defects in the sample. However, in that case, the area remained comparable to the other samples, by keeping the length longer.
